Map Rules for Purchased Maps + Gatherers

I think this will get attention if it’s a separate thread. A lot of people have BGAs hanging on the following questions:

What are the rules for using the maps that were for sale in BGAs? As I understand only @Staff_Mike_Blue can answer this.
From what some players said: Mike told them that if someone equips the map, any gatherer can join that player on their trip during a BGA session. Other folk who are non-gatherers would need to be taken along by a guide if they wanted to gather components there, and they would do so at half the rate.

We don’t know how to use the guide rules either for BGA but that’s a separate thread.

We also don’t know what the map does. Perhaps @egullard has the rules for the tag written down? We’re trying to get it into a spreadsheet here

It’s all come up in slack and other threads a lot but 1.) It keeps losing visibility and 2.) Nobody is getting tagged, so hopefully now you guys will see it and we’ll get some movement on this topic so we can all do our BGAs

Yes I would very much like to know this! I have Guide and I want to coordinate with players who’d like to go before putting in my BGA if that’s possible!

I have a basic understanding for the map; I did not take a picture of it before turning it in (my mistake). What you have said about any gatherer being able to go as long as it’s equipped is also my understanding. I asked really nicely for a copy of the map tag but it’s between events so I’m not sure they will be able to get the full tag to me. What I do know about it is the following:

Fiber and metal are plentiful
It’s a moderate location and has a small chance of infamy
Gathering and foraging can both happen there

And don’t worry about it, remembering to take pictures of tags and stuff takes a while to get used to. I myself had a notebook but no pencils! My twin had a pencil and no notebook! We never communicated and never solved our problem or we’d have written down the details of all the maps! Alas! Thanks for the info.

Also mike knows this thread exists and just hasn’t had time to look at it. Brit happened to bump into him yesterday. So if he gets time we may get more info. For now this is more than enough to operate with.

The map must be equipped by one player. Other gatherers can follow for free- also using the map, unless it states otherwise.

What does it do? You can use it as a location to use your gatherer skills.

Guide-bring players along, they can use the basic gatherer skills to take pulls off of the loot table, except that theirs take 2 days each instead of 1 day each because they’re bad at it.
