And, to make sure everyone understands what all of this is I will now provide the text describing BGA’s from Rulebook 1.01:
"Between Game Actions (BGAs)
After each event, Staff will send out form which is known as a “Between Game Actions” submission form. This form will provide for each player the ability to take the following two actions:
One Soft Action.
One Hard Action, worth 10 Days to be split across all Professions you own.
You may use XP buy a Feat to convert one Action type to the other in the current cycle (letting you get two Hard or Soft actions this cycle, but zero of the other). See the Feats list for the cost of those Feats.
Soft Actions: Plot
Generally, Soft Actions are used in an attempt to further a particular plot narrative and acts as a way for your character to attempt to push a plotline in a direction they see fit.
In each Soft Action, you may submit a single free form description of a plan of action your character is taking between games. This action must have a single clearly labeled goal. This action should also include a brief description of what your character intends to do to accomplish that goal.
Multiple players may coordinate and submit the same action if you believe the goal in mind would be more likely to yield favorable results with help. Staff will provide a written response before an event detailing what happens as a result of your action.
Hard Actions: Professions
In each Hard Action, you get ten “Days” to spend on Profession Actions. You may use this all on one profession, or split that between any Professions you own.
Every character starts with one Profession for free, which you select when making your character. You may purchase one additional Profession via a Feat (See the Chapter 7), for a total of two. (Bear in mind that you still have the same number of Days to work with for each Hard Action, regardless of how many Professions you own).
Owning a Profession gives you access to all of the Basic skills in that Profession. These Basic skills can be used during a Hard Action and spending the listed amount of days (and, if listed, components),
Each Profession also has a few skills which can be purchased using Build like normal skills. Each Purchasable Profession skill costs 3 Build.
When submitting a Hard action, simply list out which Profession skills you are spending each of your “Days” on and what your expected results are.
If you do not submit a Between Game Actions form by the deadline staff will process a Hard Action of ten days worth of basic skills you own that do not cost components. Essentially, you will gain a basic income of tradeable goods each event regardless of whether you want to engage in the systems or if you happen to simply miss the deadline."
