For a while I thought Piercing Wound was just a huge win button, but I think I figured something out:
Piercing Wound by Mundane can be blocked by Resist to Mundane. So I may be able to throw six of those in a minute, but if someone can resist three of those they would still be standing when I was done.
Is that basically correct?
So resists are most useful when your enemy has either piercing to get through your wards, wound to get through your armor or both. Or crushing.
DAMN and then if you have bucklers you've got a lot of resistances to mundane sources, but if you go shield you get resistances to elemental sources!
Have I told you yet how much I fucking love your system? Every time I think I understand it I find a new beautiful aspect I hadn't considered.
